Our Story
Founded in 1992, Bethel Community Church exists to reach our community, teach believers biblical principles about loving God and neighbors, and send believers into the world to share their faith stories.
Rooted in the Webster Groves community, we are committed to knowing Jesus and making Jesus known. Our doors are open to anyone seeking a place to grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover their God-given purpose.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." — Matthew 28:19-20

What We Believe
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, is inerrant in the original writings, and is our sole authority for faith and practice.
We believe there is only one true and living God who exists in three eternal and co-equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Father is the first person of the Trinity; is Spirit, and is the ultimate expression of perfection and holiness. He is exalted as head above all, eternal, immutable, omniscient, and omnipotent.
We believe Jesus Christ is the pre-existent Son of God who became man to reveal God and redeem man. He was born of the Virgin Mary supernaturally, lived sinlessly, died sacrificially, rose bodily, ascended to the Father's right hand, and will return to reign.
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He creates anew, seals and indwells believers, gives spiritual gifts, and instructs, guides, comforts, and empowers the believer.
We believe the Triune God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing. All living things came into being by the direct creative act of God.
We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God in innocence, distinct in gender. Through disobedience, man fell and lost fellowship with God. The entire human race has inherited a corrupt nature which is essentially evil and unable to please God apart from His grace.
We believe salvation is provided only through the blood of Jesus Christ which He shed on the cross. It cannot be earned through works but requires personal faith in Christ as substitute. At salvation, sins are forgiven, God's righteousness is credited, and the believer is declared "not guilty." Salvation is the complete and permanent possession of every believer.
We believe the Church, referred to as the Body and Bride of Christ, is a unique organism composed of all individuals who have placed faith in Christ. The local church expresses the universal Church with the dual purpose of edification of believers and the evangelization of the lost. Water baptism by immersion is a voluntary public profession, not essential to salvation.
We believe in the biblical definition of marriage as the intimate and complementary union between a man and a woman where the two become one flesh.
We believe the next event in God's prophetic calendar is the Rapture of the Church. A seven-year Tribulation follows, after which Christ returns in power and glory to rule sovereignly for a thousand years. The redeemed will exist in an eternal state of joy and bliss in the new heavens and new earth.
